More wedding changes

So, we've changed our wedding plans again.

We are now just having a very small wedding at the Schaar's bluff gathering center. Space is VERY limited, so we are only able to have immediate family attend. We have also decided against a reception, and will just be having cake and punch following the ceremony.

Right now, we're thinking "The Simpler, the Better!"

So we ended up finding the house of our dreams, and it was already built for us!

This was last September. So we didn't end up having to build a house.

From here on out, we're going to use this blog to talk about our upcoming wedding, which will be happening on August 29th, 2009!

So, Financing is proving to be an issue.

Six months ago, talking to our mortgage broker, it was looking like having 5% down on the cost of the final cost was going to be more than enough. That would allow us to get a construction loan to purchase the land, and have a one time closing loan for construction as well.

A lot has changed in 6 months. The mortgage firms are really tightening up. It's sounding like we may have to find 10% down for the total cost to get a construction loan started. In our case it would mean coming up with $35,000 - $37,000. Thats a tad more than we'll be able to save in the next few months.

Right now, I have two brokers looking for some sort of mortgage package that will work for us.

I like how this is very organized and effective with space. I think we might need to have a larger shelf for the many appliances we have (snow cone maker, bread maker, quesadilla maker, smores maker, deep fryer, the list goes on.)

The vaca's over......

I don't know about you, but the worst thing evar is going back to work on Monday after a long vacation. Knowing that you have a pile of work you have to dig out of, and there's 5 days before the relief of the weekend.

Becuase we don't have enough money to go on another vacation adventure for quite awhile - I need something to look foward to...how about a house!!
